About the Caring For Diabetes Educational Forum
Mission Statement
The Caring for Diabetes Educational Forum (CDEF) is a multifaceted, multicomponent independent resource for physicians and healthcare providers involved in the treatment of diabetes. The CDEF is a resource for up-to-date, scientifically accurate, clinically relevant information, programs, and tools related to comprehensive diabetes care.
The CDEF will provide continuing medical education programs on an ongoing basis in a variety of learning formats including the CDEF website entitled CaringForDiabetes.com, CME satellite symposia at medical meetings and congresses, enduring materials, interactive CD-ROMs, and live regional programs.
The goal of all CDEF programs is to provide physicians and other healthcare professionals with the clinical knowledge and skills for improving professional practice and enhancing patient care. Contributors include nationally and internationally recognized experts who ensure medical relevance, scientific rigor, and fair balance of content.
Website
CaringForDiabetes.com offers physicians and other healthcare providers on-the-spot clinical information, education, and interactive tools to keep up to date with diabetes care.
Education Council
The Education Council comprises physicians with expertise and experience in diabetes care. The Council will provide scientific and strategic guidance to the CDEF. In particular, the Council will serve as the advisory board for CaringForDiabetes.com. As the site evolves, look for an introduction to each council member.
