Incretin-based therapies not only offer the potential to address many of the pathophysiologic challenges of type 2 diabetes but also show great promise in addressing clinical challenges. These presentations provide current information on pathophysiologic challenges in type 2 diabetes and potential solutions offered by incretin-based therapies and were presented at a live symposium held in Miami, Florida, on Saturday, December 8, 2007.
